Can't connect to MySQL
I've tried for days to connect to the pre-installed MySQL with no luck. I gave up and started a new Ubuntu instance and installed MySQL myself.
I agree. No documentation at all on how to install or make MySQL work on a Bitnami machine. The best way I believe is just clear all Bitnami's garbage and start with a clean Debian / Ubuntu distro. 5 minutes and you are set.
That may be port setting issue. Option 1: Connect to MySQL via SSH Tunneling Follows official Usage documents https://docs.bitnami.com/aws/faq/get-started/access-ssh-tunnel/ Option 2: Connect to MySQL directly (I need it as I want a simple connection string for my webapp) Follows Andres R's solution to adjust the config file and restart MySQL.
