An interactive and easy to use linux based operating system.
What do you like best about the product?
It is a Linux-based operating system to support all necessary Linux related functions as well as some Windows applications. It is an open source product that makes it easier to manage and enhance security with some customization. It has an e-mail servicing application in the form of Thunderbird for easy connection to email accounts. This GUI is interactive and easy to manage which makes it easy to find any software. It has a secure shell and provides many features for user support.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some code is required to install or uninstall any software with ease of management and operation of the GUI. Even managing any connection it only needs to operate through the terminal. An additional software must be installed to take remote connections across devices. It has some extraordinary restrictions, some directories that frustrate users to use it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In my professional work it helps me with my documents and presentations, it is with Office, it has a cli application as a terminal, which helps to make any queries related to Linux easier and work which helps me to host, connect and manage my guest and client machines to server. This helps me to perform security checks with security analysis classes and find bugs on the network.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is the best known Linux based opensource operating system with enabled Linux features and software. It can be used for daily tasks just like windows as well as for testing vulnerabilities and network dependencies. It can host as a server and provide services to connect client machines with efficiency support.

Great for personal and professional use, especially for freelance
What do you like best about the product?
Ubuntu is just easy to install, use and it is very user friendly. No need to hunt down drivers, has app store and everything is just easy to do. You can make it as custom as you want. I use it personally for developing my own projects and used to use it for freelance work before. When working for company I use Mac because of requirements of the job.
What do you dislike about the product?
On version 18.04 I had issues with SD card reader not being recognised, but I found solution on Ubuntu forum, community is great and helpful. Only downside is that I never managed to make the adobe illustrator work (tried with wine) and never found decent replacement for it on linux.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
If you have high level of internet browsing hygiene, you don't need to have antivirus and firewall software, also all changes must be authorised by providing password. You are in total control. No RAM hog apps and no MS nonsense of sending usage data if you don't want to. It is free and works fine out of the box without too much configuration. Great OS for web development.

I would advise everyone who is even slightly interested to try it for a day. You can spin it up on VM so you can try it without installing. It will make your machine faster for sure and has minimal amount of things installed, it is not bloated with useless software and if you don't like something from the default software, you can just replace it with alternatives from the app center.

According to me there is nothing to dislike in this operating system as it is very easy to operate any beginner can easily operate this operating system without any problem.

Ubuntu is a open source operating system. This operating system allows me to change its interface so that I can make it more secure and virus free. As this operating system is developed on Linux shell so it supports most of its features. It's performance level is high and it consumes Low Battery which makes it best operating system for system also. It's graphical user interface is also very good and interactive.

The new version of Ubuntu which I used from last last few months are consuming more Battery and graphics engine has be changed or updated. It would be useful to developer who work on graphics power.

Command Line. Try to make more User friendly Operating System. If the Ubuntu i smade more user friendly then we can be more achievable than other operating System like Microsoft, Chrome, Mac.

An amazing operating system with interactive GUI
What do you like best about the product?
It's overall easy layout and user interactive GUI that helps to navigate through it easily. As it is built on linux shell so it supports a wide range of prebuilt linux tools that help for further work on it. It's best feature is once it gets customised efficiently than it holds a security of good level
What do you dislike about the product?
As one could feel the extreme features of linux but then also he or she should have to write code on terminal inorder to proceed with some new software or services. In one go if someone thinks as this software is ready to go then it's a bad decision as it requires a lot of customisation in order to be at that level.

I am working on data analysis and big data and though I require a linux machine and due to its light weight I would always prefer ubuntu for better support and performance and always helps me to run it on old devices also.

What do you like best about the product?
This operating system is the lite system developed on linux shell by which it supports all the linux prebuilt features and this makes it light in weight. Even it support wide range of devices and we can customise it according to our needs by which it's security can be increased to an extreme level.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although it supports linux features as it is based on linux shell but this will makes it easy deployable and it's security can be void easily too. It also contains some bugs and it's GUI is also not so friendly as every time it requires to be coded on terminal in order to install or unistall any software or services in the system.

Being an associate system engineering freelancer I need to completely work on Linux and also at several times my college PC's are not that much efficient for latest operating system by which they need to be operated on ubuntu. At times when I need to deploy my Hadoop servers than also I require linux based systems and always I prefer to use ubuntu because of it's easiness and pre-installed softwares.

What do you like best about the product?
It will help to use nearly all features of linux and also it's interface is very interactive, it is so user friendly that anyone who kniws to operate computer can easily handle it. It also provide a lot of features which usually not visible in windows. It also allows you to customise its setting and privacy which give you all the power to handle each sector of your computer well. You can use it on your phone too it supports the feature to make it visible on cell phones and on windows also. It is very powerful if we talk of it's power to take remote access to any other device.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although it is easy to handle and it's GUI is also very attractive but inorder to add or remove software one could have prior knowledge of coding and also it interrupts after every successful completion of any code. This will annoy a lot and being a security concern it also has many security flaws which will be customised with the help of some settings or 3rd party applications. Being an Operating system it should be must that you have to keep some sort of security that is not visible in Ubuntu.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As I am a security analyst so I need to use Linux regularly with some sort of regular updates. Due to its light weight and simplicity I mostly prefer to use Ubuntu, it will also help to set up my hadoop server locally so that I can operate with bigdata easily with less consumption of ram.

If you are a computer freak than you should try this operating system once as it has simple design and supported on less ram based computers too. It also provides efficiency to customise any of the sector of computer that is so usefull that you can setup your computer on your own. It also works through live usb which will help when you have some less work on it. You can use it virtually also that will help you to operate it on your host machine's operating system.

Ubuntu is a great operating system, based on Linux its has great UI features. Ubuntu works with Desktops, Laptops, and Servers as well. Ubuntu has Separate editions, support with different levels of tasks and devices. Ubuntu has a DEsktop and Laptop version, Server version, Cloud version, and IoT version as well. Apart from those versions, Ubuntu has flavor editions for armoured with special tasks Kubuntu, Lubuntu, Ubuntu Budgie, Ubuntu Kylin, Ubuntu MATE, Ubuntu Studio and Xubuntu, etc.

Ubuntu is totally free for use with both personal and corporate users as well. Supports with the PCs, Laptops, Virtual environments latest hardware and old hardware and supports with mobile devices as well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have used Ubuntu from more than ten years ago, it helps to develop open-source applications with the latest Linux distribution technologies. Ubuntu is comfortable with many open source free tools, including LibreOffice, Media players, Video and Graphic design tools and many more. Ubuntu saves the Processing power and RAM consuming power as well.
