Tableau views are running in a fraction of the time as compared to our on-premise EDW. Additionally, our slowly changing dimensions process and load in half the time.
Future of data bases is already here
What do you like best about the product?
No need to manage, always up, no DB Administrator needed anymore. Snowflake SQL is really easy and fully featured. Cost is fairly easy to project and allocate. Obviously, it scales like a charm. And did I mention that storage is dirt cheap? They basically are just passing S3's cost...
What do you dislike about the product?
On boarding experience takes longer than it should: I had to wait 3 days to get it activated...
Also, you can get a vanity address but it requires to talk to their sales teams and is a more convoluted process than it should really be...

Sales & Marketing Analytics Data Lakes
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is probably the easiest Data base to try for free, since it does not require management, and you get enough free credits to play with it for a while. If you reach out to their Sales team, you can obtain a vanity address for your instance such as MyCompany.snowflakecomputing.com.
