Drata is an Extension to Our Ultra Lean Compliance Team
What do you like best about the product?
My current company just started our transition to Drata from another GRC platform recently, and I am very happy with our decision to do so. Drata centralizes and streamlines compliance workflows, so it becomes a single source of truth for all compliance-related information. In addition to improving our overall operational efficiency, Drata has greatly enhanced visibility into my company's current compliance posture, allowing my team to make more informed decisions on where to focus on our gap remediation efforts. Given we are still a small startup with our sights set on obtaining ISO2700, HIPAA, GDPR, and PCI certifications over the next 6 months, we see Drata's highly intuitive platform and knowledge experts as an indispensable extension of our very lean team, as we were tasked with scaling our compliance program to match the company's growth without necessarily adding headcount. On top of the phenomenal product support from platform power users to seasoned compliance veterans, all of whom are just a chat window away, my team is blessed to have been paired with our customer success manager Laci White, who is basically acting as our technical project manager. We had our kickoff meeting on the Friday before the Memorial Day long weekend, and she actually delivered a detailed project plan, complete with a Gantt chart, that plots out on Memorial Day Monday. This exceptional level of commitment to customer success reminds us why we are happy with our decision to go with Drata.
What do you dislike about the product?
We are still relatively new to the Drata platform. We like our customer experience so far and have yet to run into any substantial opportunity for improvement.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

A Truly Great Experience
What do you like best about the product?
Achieving SOC2 status would not have been possible without the structure, access to best practices data, and personal involvement with our account consultant. The bi-weekly meetings kept the process focused and productive. The process resulted in a very clean and efficient audit.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing! The process worked extremely well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Drata ensures we stay compliant with SOC2 standards.

What do you like best about the product?
Customer service. Jessica at Drata was fantastic at helping me through all the issues and helping me set things up correctly so that the audit went smoothly.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's hard to come up with something. I wish the "TrustCenter" in Drata was included. It would have been easy for me to share our security posture with our customers without going to a third-party site like Safebase to create one.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Makes it easy to create security compliance documents, get them approved by your colleagues, and then reviewed and accepted by the employees. Their continuous monitoring agents on every employees laptop helps you keep compliant.

Our Account Manager, Peter Elias is a pleasure to work with! He is Super responsive and very helpful at all times!

Ther are technical aspects that Drata can do better, but they constantly improve.

What do you like best about the product?
Drata is a great 'source of truth' for our security program. The connections into our infrastructure completes a great deal of our testing that would otherwise use developer/administrator time.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are occasional false positives with some of the automated workflows.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Drata to save time. We have a great amount of evidence to collect, and automation is critical for achieving our goals. Within a short period of time, we were 'up and running' with Drata, and can actively focus on non-compliance related tasks without fear of missing objectives.
Migrating to Drata has been seamless!
What do you like best about the product?
We've migrated to Drata from an alternative automated compliance platform, and the experience has been excellent. Drata's highly capable platform provides better automation and a complete compliance experience.

She's understood our priorities and delivered a clear, concise implementation plan and a pathway to ongoing success with the platform, and we're excited to continue working with her and Drata on a long-term basis.

We're keen to see the launch of increased tooling for user access reviews and risk assessments. These tools will further simplify our compliance processes and policies.

Drata is automating our compliance workload, ensuring we can stay compliant and meet customer requires without burdening our business. We use the platform to manage vendors and IT assets as part of our overall compliance approach.

This is paired with exceptional customer service, from pre-sales to customer success. The team is very knowledgable, quick to respond, and has plenty of resources to help you on your journey.

What do you dislike about the product?
One of the strengths of the Drata platform is the amount of templated information and mapped controls you get out of the box, however, it is easy for users to overestimate their preparedness for compliance based on this. Users need to know that the work is still required to review every policy and control to ensure their business can meet them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Time is one of the most valuable resources for early-stage businesses, and the formal compliance certifications or attestations now demanded by many organisations are hugely time-consuming. Drata's ability to consolidate compliance information and controls, and automate many monitoring activities dramatic simplifies the compliance process, giving time back to our teams to build our businesses.
Further to this, simplifying and accelerating the compliance journey has also help us to get to audit faster, giving our management and team the confidence that the controls we have in place are sound, and giving our customers the confidence to trust our platform.

Compliance Made Easy!
What do you like best about the product?
Using Drata made our road SOC 2 compliance very easy. The software is comprehensive and well-designed. As an early stage startup, Drata brought us a lot of value. Our savings in time and resources easily covered the cost of the software. Drata's support is second to none. Our engagement manager, Craig Macaraeg, led us through the process step by step and provided valuable resources. Drata also provided access to experienced auditors, who were very prompt in answering our questions.
What do you dislike about the product?
Drata is very comprehensive. The automated checks may go beyond what is required, but the reporting settings can be overriden.

What do you like best about the product?
Hailee Huffman, our rep, represents the company in a friendly and informative manner. We chose Drata because of Hailee, and she partners with us to utilize the great tech they have to achieve our compliance goals!

So far, I have not encountered things that could be different. I wish I had more time to spend dedicated to achieving this organizational goal.

We're looking to scale our business. We're landing some significant partnerships. Most, if not all, are asking for our firm to be SOC-compliant.
